Journeyman Electrician

Our client in Constantine, MI is looking to add a Journeyman Electrician to their team! In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while adhering to codes and safety standards. Collaborating with team members, reading blueprints, diagnosing issues, and ensuring compliance.

Pay: $40 per hour
Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment, adhering to established electrical codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to plan and execute electrical projects effectively and efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine the layout and configuration of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, utilizing a systematic approach to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Coordinate with other trades and contractors on construction sites to ensure proper integration of electrical systems with other building components.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on various tasks.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license/certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with a track record of successful electrical installations and repairs.
• Proficient understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
